Trends

This
article speaks about the increase in automation in the workplace and how along
with the benefits that it provides/will provide that there are evident drawbacks
when it comes to the loss in jobs because of the advancements.
-
As
a result of automation taking over millions of jobs, I see that there is an opportunity
to help those affected by this trend. The prototypical customer would be anyone
who has a job that will most likely be taken over by automation. More so,
someone who is a low-skilled worker in a poor local economy
-
I
think that the opportunity can be easy to exploit as this trend is not new and
the affects have already been seen. I believe that those who may be soon
affected by automation are worried and looking for a solution.
-
I
saw this opportunity because I have been aware of how much of what we used to
physically do ourselves or even interact with others for certain activities we
perform have been taken over by not just automation but online services.

article talks about what climate change is, how it’s been changing in the last
few decades, what its causes are and what its economic impact has been and will
be.
The cost that extreme weather has
had since 1980 is approximately $1.3 trillion. The
article notes how Munich Re, the world's largest reinsurance
firm, blamed climate change for $24 billion of losses in the California
wildfires. On top of that, extreme weather is affecting various other industries
such as agriculture, fishery and forestry.
-
Since, there is an evident serious
impact on certain industries, regarding climate change, the prototypical customer
would be those leaders and workers of these industries.
-
I think the opportunity would be
easy to exploit because once again, this a global trend that has had very
notorious impacts.
-
I believe I saw this opportunity
because I have been concerned and aware of the concerning environmental changes
that have not just occurred in the last decade but in the last year.
Regulatory Trends

This
article speaks about the epidemic of teen vaping and the efforts to stop it.
-
I
believe that an opportunity exists as this has become an increasingly
concerning issue that affects a high percentage of teens and young adults.
-
I
believe the prototypical customer to be those who have been using this product.
-
I
believe the opportunity will be difficult to exploit as many people may be
unwilling to stop or try something that does not have the same effects that e-cigarettes
provide.
-
I
believe I saw this opportunity because as a young college student I am able to
see the influence these products have on those surrounding me.

This
video shows how a homeless count was conducted in Brevard County to draw
federal and state funding to assist the people. The reporter in the video spoke
of how several of these people were on the streets because they had lost their
homes in fires and that many also had full time jobs but it just wasn’t enough
to pay for housing.
-
An
opportunity definitely exists as there are several people who are affected by
homelessness and need to get support
-
The
prototypical customer would be those who are out on the streets and need help.
-
I believe
this opportunity will be easy to exploit as there are so many people in need
and that I am sure are willing to get out of this situation.
-
I
believe I saw this opportunity because back where I live this have been an
increasing about of homeless people that have taken over a park near my home. It
is a problem that I see every day. Before when I was just driving around my
neighborhood and today as I bike around the streets surrounding the school campus.
